V.3.0 of our annual goat-themed fresh hop beer. The hops are picked at the Hop Yard and added to the beer within a couple hours. The fresh hops are added on the hot side in essentially the same manner as whirlpool hops. We then pair this with a cold side dry hop addition of previous year hopyard pellets. This year we are using a blend that contains cascade, triumph and comet hops in the DH. Over 99% of all hops are picked and kiln dried immediately at the farm they are grown on. Fresh or wet hop beers can only be brewed around harvest time because they utilize un kilned and unprocessed hops and are a seasonal treat. Generally they are grassier, 'greener' and sometimes more dank than regularly hopped beers. Lola is a West Coast style IPA with elevated bitterness and resiny, piney, citrus zest hop profile and dry finish. The name is a reference to one of the friendly goats that resides at the hop farm during the harvest season.
